
Teltek Sales, Inc.
began business in 1986, with the vision of providing our customers with
quality telecommunication products along with field specific knowledge. From
our early years to the present, we have remained faithful to that end.
Teltek made many changes in 1997 with the addition of personnel and a major
investment in a new distribution center. Prior to 1997, Teltek operated with
only two outside salespeople. With a growing and more technically demanding
customer base, the need arose for a larger more technically orientated sales
force. We began recruiting salespeople from several telecommunication
companies and associated contractors. It has since been our belief that in
order to provide our clients with superior customer service we must also
provide sound technical advice.
Teltek officially opened the doors at our 4700 Parkside Avenue, Philadelphia
distribution center in August, 1997. This 70,000 square foot facility rests
on approximately four acres, and is strategically located just minutes from
Interstate 76. The 10,000 square foot office area allows for future
expansion and growth.
Teltek originally began as a distributor for several Outside Plant product
lines. We have grown to a full-line stocking distributor for standard and
specialty OSP supplies, and also for highest quality Fiber Optic products.
We are known for our special combination of OSP and Fiber Optic distribution
drawing from over ninety vendors for manufactured goods.
Teltek supplies to the Telephony, CLEC, Fiber Optic, Utility and Contracting
industries. Our Philadelphia warehouse and outside storage complex allows
Teltek to stock over 4,000 different items ready for shipment to customers
on the eastern seaboard. We have also serviced and supplied sizeable
construction projects throughout the country utilizing our network of
nationwide vendors. Our Inside Customer Service Representatives are
responsible for specific regions across the country, providing valuable
assistance to each customer's specific needs.
Teltek’s Outside Salespersons and Inside Customer Service Representatives
are trained to provide highly technical personal service in order to ensure
that a customer is satisfied. Teltek’s Outside Salespersons are especially
cultured to forecast possible uncertainties and troubleshoot specific
problems so our customer’s orders are clear-cut from the initial inquiry to
the product's delivery.
Teltek’s technical support department is unsurpassed among all
telecommunications distributors. Our on-staff experts in Central Office
Engineering, Fiber Optic Network Design and Outside Plant Design are
available to our customers for consulting and training. The staff experts at
Teltek have one goal at task: To provide our current and future clientel
with up-to-date and accurate technical support, thus improving the quality
of their bottom line.
Teltek is proactive at anticipating the general needs of the
telecommunications industry through constant monitoring of new projects and
industry trends. Daily, our executive staff monitors industrial
developments, through internet research, trade media and constant dialogue
with our numerous contacts in the field. In addition, our telecom staff is
aware of new and proposed telecom products, and on many occasions suggest
and complete changes to existing products or develop altogether new
products.
Teltek’s proactive executive management constantly strives to maintain and
increase our current market position. In the coming years, we will continue
